A few things attracted me to the George Foreman GRP90WGR Grill. Interchangeable plates, dishwasher safe, and the waffle plates. I had been looking for a new waffle maker, and in fact had looked at the store the night I saw the ad for the Foreman GRP90WGR.

The one we've had for 11+ years is too small for our family now, and I wanted something bigger. However, it seemed silly to spend a lot of money on one since I don't make them that often. Imagine how happy I was to see the size of the plates on the commercial!


I was pleased with the 2 drip trays and the better spatulas (also 2) that came with the grill, in addition to the cleaning sponge. I don't know how often I'll use the sponge, since the plates clean so easily by hand (and once again, they are dishwasher-safe!), but it's nice to have.

I liked the other Foreman grills, but cleaning them stopped me from using them as often as I might have otherwise. They were just kind of a pain; if you've used them you know what I mean.

Get this grill :-) If you have realistic expectations and are willing to experiment to get just the right cooking times, then I don't think you'll be disappointed. I'm not!

For much of George Foreman's life he had to constantly stay in shape. The former World Heavyweight Champion was a chiseled human! Since he retired, he has introduced a series of cooking utensils. Early on, although functional, his products were sandwich type grills that offered faster cooking times and a patented drip groove for healthier cooking. His newest grill, the foreman grp90wgr or G5, is the most advanced product yet and literally takes outdoor grilling, indoors.

Foreman's grill is manufactured by Salton who has a respected name in gourmet appliances. The grp90wgr has been redesigned for the launch of this fifth generation of the product. Two qualities that have not been changed are the grooved surface for fat drip off and the easy cleaning feature.

This new version has 5 interchangeable plates which offer many more cooking options. The grill has over 72 square inches of cooking surface which allows for more food to be prepared at the same time. The floating hinge allows the unit to handle a couple of decent size steaks at a single shot. In fact, because the grill closes on the foods, two medium rare steaks can be cooked in under six minutes!

The biggest benefit that the foreman grp90wgr offers is the preparation of healthier food. The grooves allow for the fat to drip into the supplied drip tray, while locking in the vitamins, minerals and most importantly, the flavor. The new replaceable plates affords you the opportunity to prepare many more foods this way.

You can now prepare; waffles, paninis, omelets and baked goods. You will prepare the tastiest chocolate chip cookies, you have ever had! This grill is a marvel. With the many options and easy clean up, even if you are pressed for time, you will still prepare great meals in a fraction of the time it would normally take.

With each G5 you receive 2 drip trays, a specially designed spatula and a cleaning sponge. There is a non stick coating covering the entire inside, so even though the plates are dishwasher safe, cleaning the rest of the unit is a piece of cake! Cleaning used to be a problem with the older models, but no more.

Creating breakfast meals to midnight snacks has never been simpler and the grp90wgr is also an attractive addition to any kitchen. The grp90wgr is by far the best of this series of grills and thanks to Mr. Foreman, eating quickly prepared, healthy tasting culinary delights has become easier than ever before.
